7 Colour Ways To Wear Pink Tone Jewellery

Did you know the word Pink gets it’s name after a flower? That’s right – Dianthus is the family it belongs to, of which Carnations are mostl common. Just like flowers, the color Pink exudes romance, charm, femininity, sweetness and love. Is it a wonder that it hits the runways each season !

The Pink Palate

This year we are embracing pink in refined tones like Pantone’s Strawberry Ice or Sandstone, a far cry from the cliched hot pink and baby pink that pigeonholed the girly chic type. This fall, a mix of modern pinks with more progressive colours spawn an ultra trendy getup. Its hard to resist this darling pink mosaic and I’m sure we all have a favorite each.

Pink in Jewel Tones

In jewellery pink is seen from rose gold or copper hued metal to a multitude of attractive gemstones. There is the opaque to patterened, milky to sparkling, and iridescent to translucent – an ample spectrum of pink hues and lusters to choose from. If like me, you love pink in small doses, accessorizing with it is an ingenious way to clad it.

Tip
Switch up the usual gold / silver tone jewellery and neutral attire to a hint of pink. Make a sweet statement in jeweled accents and amp up the dainty with these avant garde combinations. I’m in love with the paler elegance of salmon, buff pink, rose, peach and watermelon, even the purplely mauve as it allows me room to splash brights for contrast.

So here I’ve combined some of my creations in pink tone jewellery with clothes inspired by the runway chic looks of my favorite designers. This is the way to the Alternative ‘Pretty In Pink’ girl.

1. A Salmon Pink leather cuff worn with an edgy mix of Violet, Red, & Black.

 2. A Pink Quatrz and Pearl necklace worn with an elegant mix of Blush Pinks & Cream. A pop of colour and metallic accent adds layers and style.

3. These girly Chandilier earrings paired with a bodycon dress in mint, charcoal and zipper detail create an offbeat character as opposed to worn with a matchy feminine outfit.

 4. A Peach Pearl and Rose metal Pendant offset by an apple green top and Pale Pink jacket. The white and turquoise in necklace stands out in balance. This contemporary mix of colours is utterly wearable.

5. This Art Deco style necklace punctuated by Pink Opals against a bright red  ‘V’ neckline spells flamboyance. Glossy gold metal studded with Royal blue Lapis Lazuli and powdery purple enamel look dramatic against the Fire Engine Truck Red top.

6. A pair of Turquoise and Pink Zircon worn with an ensemble of Indigo Blue shirt and knitted Green vest .Texture and cool hues compliment each other.

7. A Plaster Pink and Black Zircon Brooch worn with an unusual blend of grey plaid, turquoise and psychedelic yellow. Combining dark, punchy and pastel colours can look unique and fresh.

So on those days when you wake up feeling girly chic and naturally gravitate to pink, try sprucing it up with these ‘hot off the press’ combos.

Do you have a favorite pink but don’t wear it as often because its tricky to accessorize it? Write me a query and I can put together some ideas.
